Find your age group
Every player attends two sessions: a hitting & pitching tryout at CPI and a defensive tryout on the field. Arrive 15 minutes early to check in and warm up.

Jim Grady
Co-Director · Head of Baseball & Softball Instruction
Jim brings 15+ years of coaching at the high school and youth levels, including championship-caliber staffs in football, baseball, and basketball. He led CBSL travel teams (7U–12U) to three Cal Ripken State Championships and four District Championships, and has coached or trained 10+ players who went on to play college baseball. An Epstein Hitting Certified Instructor, he has run winter hitting programs for Cranford and Millburn High School baseball.
His philosophy: develop the player, build confidence, teach the game, compete to win.
Frank Beckhorn
Co-Director
A Kean University legend (1B, 1995–98), Frank owns a .483 career batting average — the NCAA Division III record and second-best in collegiate baseball history across all divisions. He was a three-time All-American (First Team in 1998), two-time NJAC Player of the Year, and 1998 Mid-Atlantic Regional Player of the Year, and led the Cougars to the 1998 NCAA Tournament. He later served as Hitting Instructor at Kean.
Frank brings an extensive playing and coaching background, with a strong emphasis on offensive development and preparing players to compete at the next level.
